What Worked, What Didn’t: A Simple Year-End Health Check-In

What Worked, What Didn’t: A Simple Year-End Health Check-In

December is a natural “pause button” in the year. Before you jump into new goals, diets, or workout plans, there’s one powerful question to ask:

“What actually worked for me this year—and what clearly didn’t?”

When it comes to your health, this kind of honest reflection is far more helpful than another round of vague resolutions.

Take a few minutes to think about:

What health choices worked well this year?

  • Did a certain walking routine help your energy or mood?

  • Did setting a regular bedtime improve your sleep?

  • Did changing one part of your diet (like adding more protein or cutting back on late-night snacks) make you feel better?

  • Did you feel more supported when you reached out earlier instead of waiting until you were really sick?

What clearly didn’t work?

  • Did you start and stop the same intense plan multiple times?

  • Did you ignore pain or fatigue until it got worse?

  • Did you skip follow-ups, labs, or refills because the system felt too frustrating?

  • Did you try to “push through it” instead of asking for help?

None of this is about blame or shame. It’s about information. When you bring these answers and your questions to your year-end check-up, we can work with reality, not against it.

At your visit, we’ll:

  • Keep and strengthen the habits that are already helping you

  • Gently adjust or replace the ones that aren’t serving you

  • Create a realistic, personalized plan for January and beyond that fits your life, energy level, and responsibilities

You don’t need a perfect year to make progress. You just need to be willing to learn from the one you had.

December spots tend to fill quickly with holidays and travel, so if you’d like help sorting out what worked and what didn’t. Go ahead and schedule your year-end appointment now.

Let’s use what 2025 has taught you to build a stronger, steadier 2026.
